Air Ride Diagnostics, Servicing and Repair
Air suspension faults can be frustrating because one symptom can have several possible causes. A car that drops overnight may have an airline leak, a fitting issue, a leaking bag, a valve problem or a tank-related fault. A compressor that runs too often may be reacting to a leak, a pressure switch fault, poor wiring, a tired compressor or a management issue. Bagged & Reckless provide workshop-based air suspension diagnostics and repairs to help identify the real fault before parts are replaced unnecessarily.
Our repairs and servicing work is carried out from Milltown Business Park, Tuam, Co. Galway, with customers travelling from across Ireland for support with aftermarket air ride systems. We regularly work around air suspension kits, compressors, tanks, fittings, airlines, manifolds, electrical components and management systems, so the diagnostic process is based on how these systems behave in real use.
A diagnostic appointment typically begins with the details you provide through the website. The make, model, year, installed system, symptoms and history of the fault all help the workshop understand where to begin. Useful information can include whether the vehicle drops on one corner, whether the compressor runs constantly, whether the management controller shows pressure problems, whether the issue appeared suddenly, and whether any parts have recently been changed.
During inspection, the system can be checked for common problems such as air leaks, tank and fitting leaks, airline damage, compressor operation, pressure switch behaviour, manifold faults, wiring problems, management system errors and uneven ride height. The goal is to find the fault, explain what is required and separate diagnosis from parts replacement. Repair costs vary depending on the issue found and any replacement components needed.
Bagged & Reckless are happy to service, diagnose and repair existing air suspension systems supplied by other manufacturers. This is separate from our installation policy, where we only install complete air suspension kits supplied directly by Bagged & Reckless. The repair and servicing side of the workshop exists to support customers who already have an air ride setup and need practical help keeping it working correctly.
Servicing can also be useful before a fault becomes a bigger problem. A general air suspension service may include checking fittings, airlines, compressor performance, tank setup, water traps, pressure control, visible wiring and management system function. For daily-driven cars, show cars and weekend vehicles alike, periodic inspection can make the system easier to trust and easier to maintain.
Customers often contact us after replacing parts without solving the issue. A structured diagnostic approach can save time by checking the system as a whole rather than focusing on one component in isolation. If a compressor has failed, the reason matters. If a bag is leaking, the location matters. If pressure is inconsistent, the management and air supply need to be considered together.
If your air suspension system is not raising or lowering correctly, drops overnight, struggles to build pressure or behaves inconsistently, contact Bagged & Reckless with the vehicle details and fault description. The workshop can advise on the next step, whether that is diagnostics, servicing, replacement parts or a repair booking.
